just are stumped, email the webmaster with the details of your issue!

Password Entry Issues

Human Error

Do you have an account on our website?  Are you entering the email address you created the account with?  We forget things too sometimes.

If you aren't sure, try your different email addresses without a password one at a time, clicking login.  If we don't find your email address and email you your password, you don't have an account with us.  If none of your email addresses work and you don't think you ever created an account with us, create a new one!

Have you entered your email address and password correctly?  This is the most common problem.

If you aren't sure or forgot your password, simply enter your email address without a password, click login and well email your password if we have your email on file.

Have you entered your password by pasting it in?

Pasting a password from a confirmation email into the login box may mess up the characters, depending on your browser and operating system. Try typing in the user name and password instead of pasting it in.

Are you using the number 0 where you mean the letter O or the letter l where you mean the number 1?  This one's tough to spot!

Make sure you're entering your password the way you created it or the way it is emailed to you.  You might try pasting your password from the email you receive (by entering only your email address and clicking login) and then changing it to something easier to remember.

IE6 Settings

Trust Us

We use cookies to remember that you are logged in after you log in and also to remember your desScreenName and password if you tell us to or to make sure we're NOT remembering your desScreenName and password on the machine you log in from.

All we track with cookies is a random id during your session and possibly your desScreenName and password (if you ask us to).  If you ask us not to remember you, we need to be able to delete any cookies we may have on your computer.

Cookies are not accepted in a standard install of IE6, so our site may produce an error or fail to log you in until you enable cookies.

To solve the problem:

  • Go to Internet Options, then Privacy.
  • Choose Web Sites by the bottom, then choose Edit on the right and in the Add Web Address, type www.1iotaproductions.com
  • Click on Allow
  • Click OK
  • Click OK again
  • Repeat the steps above for www.1iota.com
  • Shut down IE and reopen it.  If this was the problem, you should be able to log in.

Windows XP Firewall Problem

The Problem -- You cannot log in to some websites

Windows XP comes With a firewall. It's automatically configured to block certain Internet content considered potentially harmful. Unfortunately, it sometimes blocks legitimate content that you wish to view and can even make you unable to log in to websites!

The Solution

You can trust both www.1iotaproductions.com and www.1iota.com in your firewall or disable the firewall from Control Panel (or IE 6) under Internet Options, but you may also need a patch for Internet Explorer 6 SP1 if this doesn't work.  We recommend the patch either way!

Yes, you may have to go to Redmond to fix this one...The patch and detailed instructions from Microsoft are available at:
