WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress your best in solid bright colors. Our dress code is UPSCALE CASUAL (VIBRANT BRIGHT COLORS) as if you are going to a nice dinner. A chic dress, dressy pants or trendy and fashionable outfits are suggested. As a member of the audience, you must be prepared to be on camera! We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone dressed inappropriately.
WHERE DOES THE SHOW TAPE?
All audience members must check-in at ABC Television Studios, 57 West 66th Street, New York, NY 10023 (between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West).
IS THE STUDIO WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
We do accommodate guests requiring special attention, provided your party is admitted to the show. Please let us know if any guests require wheelchair accessibility or if there are any other medical conditions that would prohibit the ability to climb stairs. Email TheView@1iota.com and let us know.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND THE SHOW?
All audience members must be at least 16 YEARS OF AGE. Special themed shows may include a younger audience with prior approval. All audience members are required to present a government-issued photo ID with a birth date and address.
IS THERE A SECURITY SCREENING?
ALL audience members are required to be screened prior to entering the studio. Please refrain from bringing additional belongings.
IS THERE A COAT CHECK?
No, all of your belongings must fit in a small bag or purse. Our space is very limited.
ARE "VIEW" TICKETS FREE?
Yes, all View tickets are free and non-transferable.
IS ADMISSION GUARANTEED?
Ticket distribution is in excess of our capacity to ensure a full studio and is first-come, first-served. Therefore, admission is not guaranteed. However, if you happen to be turned away from a taping due to capacity, we will do our best to accommodate you at a future show.
WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF MY TICKET REQUEST HAS BEEN APPROVED?
We will notify you via email when your tickets have been made available. While we do our best to accommodate as many fans as we can, it is possible that we will not have available tickets for the day you requested due to capacity. If you do not receive tickets for your desired show date, you can always try the Stand-By line on the day of the taping.
HOW OFTEN CAN I COME TO THE SHOW?
ATTENDANCE IS PERMITTED ONCE EVERY 12 MONTHS. We can NOT accommodate you if you have attended a taping within the last 12 months under ANY ticket reservation. THE VIEW RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TURN AWAY ANYONE WHO VIOLATES THIS RULE. Please do NOT create multiple accounts or apply under different names.
HOW CAN I GET STANDBY TICKETS?
Standby guests are encouraged to come to the studio (57 West 66th Street) as early as 9:30AM EST. After our ticket holders are seated, it is first-come, first-served from the standby line should capacity allow additional guests.
ARE FOOD AND DRINKS ALLOWED?
Eating, drinking and smoking in the studio is NOT permitted.
HOW LONG IS THE WAIT TIME BEFORE BEING SEATED?
Depending on when audience members arrive, you could wait 1-2 hours prior to being seated.
HOW LONG IS THE TAPING?
The View is a live show and taping takes 60 minutes. However, on occasion there are addition pre-tapes following the live show, which may take an additional 30-60 minutes.
ARE CAMERAS ALLOWED?
Photography is permitted, but ONLY at designated times during the taping. Cell phones and other wireless devices CANNOT be used as a camera. Video recording is prohibited at all times.
WILL THERE BE GIVEAWAYS?
On occasion there may be giveaway items. However, no such giveaways are guaranteed. In the event that the giveaways are over $75 in value, residents of foreign countries are not eligible. If giveaways exceed $600, audience members will be responsible for any income tax ramifications.
