NBC - The Voice
"The Voice" is America's top Vocal Competition show, with Star Coaches such as Blake Shelton (S1-6), Adam Levine (S1-6), Christina Aguilera (S1-3,5), Cee Lo Green (S1-3,5), Usher (S4,6) and Shakira (S4,6).
During the Blind Auditions, Our Coaches will choose members for their teams based soley on Vocal Performance. The Coaches listen to each performance while facing away from the artists. If a Coach wants that Vocalist on his/her team, he/she will hit the button, and spin the chair around. At that moment, the Artist becomes a member of that Coach's team... unless another Coach hits his/her button. At that point, the Artist gets to decide to go with whichever Coach he/she believes can serve him/her the best in this competition, and his/her career!
During the Battle Rounds, each Artist will square off against another member of his/her Coach's team to determine who will advance as team members to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs consist of a team-by-team competition, in which each Coach chooses three out of the remaining five artists to continue into the Live Rounds.
During the Live Rounds, all team competition is thrown out the window and the top artists face off in both Group and Solo performances over 5 weeks to determine who will be named Champion of "The Voice!
HOSTED BY Carson Daly
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress your best in DARK colors. Our dress code is HIP AND TRENDY as if you are going to a nice dinner!
- Don'ts: NO solid white, semi-white or shiny shirts. No bright colors, baseball hats, large logos, or artwork of any kind. No homemade shirts. Gentlemen, no tank-tops please. 1iota reserves the right to turn you away if you or your guests wear any of these items.
- DO wear comfortable shoes, so standing in line will be more comfortable.
WHERE DOES THE SHOW TAPE?
The Voice tapes at a number of different studio lots around Los Angeles. You may be familiar with the various rounds of the show. Often times, we have to move the production from one studio to another depending on the round. So please, do check your ticket for the exact location. It will ALWAYS be on your ticket.
HOW LONG IS A TAPING?
For The Voice, this is an extremely hard question to answer. The reason is this: Various rounds of the show have different durations. What we like to say is, plan your day around spending 6 hours or more at The Voice. People think: "WHOA! That's a long time!", and it is. But, you're doing far more than going to see a simple show. You're going to be checking in with hundreds of folks, all of whom must go through security. Then, you'll be waiting for a time where you'll find food trucks there to serve you until we can move to the stage. Once in the stage, we take time to load-in, and then prep for the actual show. From there, tapings can last anywhere from 60 minutes (some Live Results shows) to 240 minutes (some taped shows). We do ask that all audience be able to stay for the duration.
THE SCHEDULE HAS A SECOND SHOW A FEW HOURS AFTER OURS, WILL WE BE OUT BEFORE THAT TIME?
No. When we tape multiple shows in the same day, the second show checks-in while the first show is still taping. So, if there is a 10AM check-in and a 3PM check-in, you can bet that people in the 10AM show will still be in the taping while the 3PM people are arriving. Remember, the time on the ticket is not the time the taping begins, but the time we set for check-in so that we can keep to our schedule.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
For this show, which is incredibly popular, we always suggest arriving One (1) hour prior to the check-in time on the ticket. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, as ticket distribution may be in excess of studio capacity. While early arrival is encouraged, we ask that NO ONE arrive more than Ninety (90) minutes prior to the check-in time on the ticket.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND THE SHOW?
This changes depending on the round involved. Pre-recorded elements are 18+, while the LIVE rounds are 16+.
THE AGE LIMIT SAYS 18, AND I'M 17 BUT I TURN 18 SOON. CAN I COME?
Unfortunately, no. 17 is not 18. However, if the age limit is 18, that means this is a pre-taped portion, which means the LIVE rounds are coming...and they're 16+. WOOHOO!
I WOULD LIKE TO BRING MY 14 YEAR OLD SON. CAN I?
Unfortunately, no. Even though you are the parent, we must adhere to our age limitations.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO THE SHOW?
Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing your birthdate. This information must match the information submitted with your request.
CAN I BRING A CAMERA?
HOW ABOUT A CELL PHONE?
I NEED MY CELLPHONE TO GET TO THE STUDIO AND TO GET HOME. CAN I BRING IT?
No. We can not allow cellphones into the studio. Please arrange a method of transportation that does not require the usage of a cell-phone.
MY FAMILY MEMBER/FRIEND COULD BE IN AN EMERGENCY SO I NEED MY CELLPHONE IN CASE THEY NEED TO REACH ME. CAN I BRING IT?
No. If this is a possibility, we suggest canceling your tickets so that you can be available for your family member/friend should the need arise. We hope it all works out, and you can join us at The Voice in the future.
IS THERE A SECURITY SCREENING?
All audience members are required to be screened prior to entering the studio. Please refrain from bringing extra personal belongings.
IS THERE A COAT CHECK?
No, all of your belongings must fit underneath your seat.
ARE "The Voice" TICKETS FREE?
Yes, all tickets are free and non-transferable.
WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF MY TICKET REQUEST HAS BEEN APPROVED?
Unfortunately, there is no way to know precisely when or even if you will receive tickets. That is the nature of a waitlist. You have a place in a queue, and should a ticket come available for that place in the queue, we will notify you. That could happen at any time - today, tomorrow, next week, or not at all. Because of that, we can't approximate when you would find out.
I RECEIVED AN EMAIL SAYING MY TICKETS WERE AVAILABLE, BUT I CAN'T CONFIRM THEM! WHAT'S UP?
Unfortunately this does happen. We send out "available" announcements in batches and then tickets are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. So, it is possible that others beat you to it this time. Keep an eye out, though, as when others cancel their tickets (always happens) you will be able to claim them!
