Daniel James "Danny" Amendola is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the NFL. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2008 after playing college football at Texas Tech. He joined The New England Patriots as a free agent in March 2013.
The Patriots reached Super Bowl LI where Amendola had 8 catches for 78 yards, a touchdown, and a two point conversion to tie the game at 28-28. This was the first Super Bowl ever that was played in overtime and it was the biggest deficit ever overcome in Super Bowl history. The Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-28.
